We are very pleased that PU “Mega Kids” can offer our little ones the benefits of a salt room. Staying in a salt room improves the general condition of the body. It most often contributes to the treatment of the respiratory system, such as asthma, chronic sinusitis, ear, throat, but it also has a beneficial effect on the work of the glands, allergies, skin, general mood, affects the immune system…
Also, using a salt room is an excellent prevention for the occurrence of various diseases, so it can be used by completely healthy children, as there are no side effects or side effects. As studies confirm, halotherapy is currently the only method that can effectively rid the respiratory tract of pathogenic organisms, allergens, smog, and fine dust that increasingly surround us and are characteristic of developed industrial cities.
According to experts, air therapy in salt caves is one of the oldest forms of treatment. It has been confirmed that the air in caves has a healing effect on human health. This therapy is also called halotherapy or salt therapy. In fact, it all started when a Polish doctor tested the effects of rock salt on patients staying in salt mines. Then a Russian doctor tested the effect of saline solution on a large number of children in combating acute dermatitis. Encouraged by the good results of their study, scientists soon came up with the idea of creating salt rooms that would be under controlled conditions.
Thanks to them, today, both in the world and in our kindergarten “Mega Kids”, there is a salt room intended for our little ones with the aim of improving their health.
The salt room is a specially equipped room for halotherapy, where the walls are lined with rock salt and a halogenerator, which is key to this type of treatment. The room has eye-pleasing colors, Himalayan salt lamps, a 30-centimeter layer of medical salt on the floor, the air temperature ranges from 18 to 24 degrees, and the humidity is from 40 to 60 percent.
What is a Halogenator?
A halogenerator is a device that produces dry salt aerosol and disperses it into a salt room. Unlike speleotherapy (which relies solely on naturally created aerosol formed over years from salt deposits on cave walls), halogenerators provide precisely controlled concentrations of dry salt aerosol under regulated temperature and humidity conditions, while also managing the size and speed of the aerosol particles. The microclimate of the salt room, combined with therapeutic lighting, contributes to the overall psychophysical well-being of the body.
It is well known that salt contains particles of ions, magnesium, zinc, potassium, lithium, and iron—each of which plays a role in the proper functioning of the body. These elements also influence mood, help reduce stress, fatigue, and irritability. Doctors recommend that children undergo therapy for 10 weekdays, with sessions lasting 20 minutes. During this time, they inhale healing micro-particles that contribute to improving overall health. The treatment has shown that the therapeutic effects of a salt room positively influence conditions such as asthma, allergies, colds, and illnesses of the upper and lower respiratory tract, including lung diseases, throat and tonsil inflammations, and sinus issues.
Salt therapy helps treat all the main processes in the bronchi: swelling, inflammation, excess mucus, and bacterial infections, as salt is known for its antibacterial properties. Today, salt is even used in swimming pools instead of chlorine to destroy bacteria. Salt therapy is highly effective in eliminating bacteria found in mucus. For most patients, after undergoing this therapy, the airways normalize and symptoms disappear. Halotherapy is a 100% natural therapy developed by scientists and researchers to replicate the positive effects of salt observed in nature. Spending 40 minutes in a salt room is significantly more effective than three days by the sea, as dry salt aerosol micro-particles reach up to 90% of the upper and lower airways, compared to 35% with other inhalation methods.
Due to its effectiveness, we offer our little ones the opportunity to use such a room.
